Fran Paradine partners with those who are struggling to overcome the mental and emotional roadblocks that keep them from reaching their optimal health. After spending 17 years in the mental health field and 10 years as a small business owner, Fran knows how difficult it can be to create lasting changes.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who also holds a Certification in Integrative Nutrition Health Coaching, Fran understands the emotional aspects connected with the lifestyle choices we make every day. She has counseled hundreds of individuals, mentored many more, and has created a coaching program that addresses all aspects of health to help her clients make sustainable healthy lifestyle changes that are in line with their individual goals. Fran understands that any change that is to be sustained over time needs to address all areas of our lives. Creating a healthy lifestyle means ensuring that all elements of our lives are in sync with our health goals and are working together to move us towards those goals. Lifestyle changes require a commitment to exploring all aspects of our health and Fran’s programs are designed to do just that. She believes in the power of compassion and community and knows that true change can only take place within a trusting relationship.
“I truly believe every person has a chance at success mentally, physically and emotionally. We all have to start somewhere.”

Hi, My name is Julie and I’m a Licensed Mental Health clinician. I specialize in dual diagnosis which means I can help support your recovery from substance use, trauma, and any mental health diagnosis. I came on board at Walk With Me Healing Steps because I have a passion and a heart for healing. I wanted to use my skills to reach out and have a direct effect on the community. I began my career in mental health working with a residential living facility and recovery support for women with Substance abuse and mental health issues.
I worked as a Team Lead for the Community Support team and moved into private practice before beginning my work with Vaya. I have earned a Bachelor of Art in Psychology and my Master of Arts in Science for Counseling.
Here on the farm we are able to explore nature, implement our equine partners, take hikes or sit by the creek and talk. I like to meet you where you are on your journey. Come and walk with me….
My passion has been with rescuing horses that are no longer wanted. Sometimes they had dangerous behaviors like kicking, biting, bucking, or they were submissive and had just given up. Understanding why they had these “bad” behavior was like putting a puzzle together one piece at a time. As we built trust with each other they realized they were safe and their behaviors changed. I saw this also happen with people, myself included. I started to trust myself, building a solid and confident self-image. I want to share this discovery with everyone. How my horses, along with God, have given me the strength and desire to make the changes I needed to succeed in my trauma recovery and as a TRC. I have seen lives completely transformed through TRC and Equine therapy. I never stop feeling amazed by all that can be accomplished through this work.
I am a Certified Trauma Recovery Coach through the International Association of Trauma Recovery. I am PATH and Natural LIfemanship Certified. I founded the non-profit, Walk With Me Healing Steps, in 2017 to support our community in a new, unconventional way. We provide an out of the box approach to mental health and learning. By being outside among nature, taking hikes, implementing equine assistance or simply laying in the grass while we use traditional talk based interventions.
