Elizabeth Wise, MA – Nature-Based & Equine-Assisted Counseling

Accepting Self-Pay Clients | Office, Nature-Based, & Equine-Assisted Sessions Available

I believe healing happens best when we feel safe, seen, and connected—both within ourselves and in our relationships with others. I’m Elizabeth (Liz) Wise, a master’s-level counselor with over 10 years of experience in early intervention, supporting children, families, and adults through seasons of growth, transition, and healing.

My work is grounded in the understanding that many emotional and relational challenges—such as anxiety, depression, parenting stress, and relationship struggles—are deeply connected to how we’ve learned to relate to ourselves and others. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in familiar patterns, therapy can be a space to slow down, gain clarity, and reconnect with what matters most.

I have experience working with:

  • Children and families involved in foster care and adoption

  • Parents & Teachers navigating stress, burnout, and behavioral concerns

  • Individuals experiencing anxiety and depression

  • Adults seeking deeper self-awareness and more connected relationships

Equine-Assisted & Nature-Based Therapy

At our farm, we partner with our equine partners to explore how we show up in relationships—with ourselves and with others. Horses offer immediate, honest feedback and help clients build awareness around boundaries, communication, emotional regulation, and trust. No riding experience is required; sessions are experiential, ground-based, and thoughtfully guided.

For clients who prefer a traditional setting, office-based sessions are also available. Together, we’ll determine which environment best supports your goals and comfort level.

My Approach

My style is warm, collaborative, strengths-based, and person-centered. I integrate nature-based practices, relational counseling, and experiential interventions to support meaningful and lasting change. Therapy with me is not about “fixing” you—it’s about understanding your story, building insight, and developing tools to create healthier, more connected relationships.
